Calling all artists and creative minds!
Got a great idea for a bookmark? Put your creativity on the page and bring it to life in the 2026 Bookmark Design Competition.
Entries open Friday 3 July and close Sunday 19 July
For the first time, the competition is open to all ages, so whether you're a budding young artist, a keen doodler or an experienced creative, we'd love to see your design.
Create an original bookmark and you could see your artwork published as an official Northern Beaches Libraries bookmark.
Pick up an entry form from your local library and enter as many original designs as you like.
About the Competition
A winter school holiday favourite, the Bookmark Design Competition invites the community to get creative and celebrate a love of reading through art.
Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and artistic skill.
Six winners will each receive a prize pack, and runners-up will receive a prize. Winning and runner-up designs will be printed as official Northern Beaches Libraries bookmarks, distributed across our six library branches and featured in a public exhibition.
Visit your local library to collect an entry form and start creating. Full terms and conditions are available on the reverse side of the entry form.
If you would like to to create your design and bring this to the library, the template dimensions are 18.2 x 5.5 cm. You are welcome to affix this to an entry form.
