At Northern Beaches Libraries, we aim to create welcoming and vibrant library spaces that showcase our local stories, art and history, engendering a sense of belonging and pride in our community.
Community exhibitions
Local artists or groups interested in exhibiting their creative works, art displays and photography in our libraries are invited to submit an Expression of Interest.

Your submission will be assessed by our Library team, and the outcome will be communicated to you within 10 business days.

FAQs
Who is eligible to host an exhibition?
Local artists, schools, community groups or organisations on the Northern Beaches, or who have a connection to the area and community, are eligible to submit an expression of interest via our online form above.
When can I host an exhibition?
Exhibition expressions of interest will be assessed in line with our criteria, available exhibition spaces and preferred timelines.
From expression of interest there is a lead time of approximately 2-3 months before an installation date.
Duration of exhibitions are approximately 2 months.
What spaces are available to host an exhibition?

- Forestville Library
- Glen Street Library
- Manly Library
- Mona Vale Library
- Warringah Mall Library
Exhibiting work in our libraries does not provide exclusive use of the space as it is shared with other users.
Some exhibition spaces are bookable community rooms. If booked, the space will be reserved for booked activities and not available for general viewing.
Is it free to host an exhibition?
Northern Beaches Libraries will provide the exhibition space free of charge, as well as managing installation/de-installation and promotional support.
Can I host an exhibition launch?
If your exhibition is in the Creative Library at Manly, you are welcome to hire the space for exclusive use. For more information, please visit the Creative Library webpage.
