National Volunteer Week 2022
National Volunteer Week is celebrated 16 – 22 May 2022. This year's National theme is 'Better Together'.
Libraries are thriving spaces for customers to learn new skills, receive important services, relax in leisure and engage in social groups. Northern Beaches Council Libraries have over 150 volunteers offering their time and services to our communities. Together, our volunteers help us move forward in the goal of providing the community accessible and inclusive services along the Northern Beaches.
Our Volunteers
Our Home Library Service volunteers deliver a bag of library goodies through rain, hail or shine and always with a smile; our Justice of the Peace serve hundreds of customers every week; our Technology Help volunteers teach and up-skill our customers; our local studies volunteers share their knowledge; and our collection and shelving volunteers help maintain our welcoming library spaces. We look forward to resuming more volunteer roles soon!
Thank you to all the volunteers and your valued service at the Northern Beaches Council Libraries.
And a thank you to our local Community Libraries who are run by dedicated volunteers year-round.
