Come along to the Library's workshop and panel discussion celebrating female writers as part of NSW Women's Week (2 - 8 March 2025).

The events will showcase and celebrate female writers and facilitators living with a disability, with participant tickets being free.

Coinciding with International Women’s Day these events aim to promote gender equality in NSW, ensuring women and girls have full access to opportunities and choices, their diversity is acknowledged, their contributions are valued, and they can participate freely and safely in all aspects of life.

The panel discussion, In Our Own Words: A conversation with female writers living with a disability, celebrates and explores the female perspective on writing and representation, and the empowerment that comes from the written word.

The line up includes Gayle Kennedy, Emily Dash, Fiona Murphy and Elizabeth Wright as our panellist writers and moderator.

Book your free ticket to the event at Glen Street Theatre, 6.30 - 7.30pm Thursday 6 March, with a book signing available afterwards in Glen Street Library.

Learn how to express yourself and your voice by structuring your memoir to elevate your story at Fiona Murphy’s workshop, Structuring Your Story. Book your free ticket to the workshop at Glen Street Library, 1.30 – 3.30pm Saturday 8 March. Limited spaces.
