It's wonderful to welcome you back to the library. We've missed you!

If you would like to plan your visit, find out more about the services available, our temporary opening hours and the steps we're taking to help keep you safe. Don't forget to read through the conditions of entry before your visit.

Please note, Avalon Community Library and Terrey Hills Community Library will reopen on Monday 18 October. The other community libraries will not be reopening at this time, we hope to welcome them back soon.

DIY your library visit

We encourage you to utilise our self-service options for borrowing and renewing using the library app or kiosks. We also have self-service options for printing, scanning and photocopying.

Changes to opening hours

All library branches (excluding the community libraries) will operate from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am - 1pm on Saturdays. You are welcome to stay to read, study or work on our safely distanced furniture during opening hours.

Click and collect is back

Do you remember how to place a Click and Collect request? No worries if not, you can check out our quick refresher and our conditions of entry

Due dates and returns

Now that we are open, due dates will not be automatically extended. We encourage you to check out your due dates through the library app or keep an eye out for an email reminder.

Items can be returned through the chutes at all branch locations and book clubs are also welcome to return their kits in branch.

Changes to PC access

You are welcome to use our public computers however access will be limited to 30 minutes per day. This is to ensure fair usage for all customers.

Services unavailable

In line with current NSW Health orders, our Justice of the Peace service and meeting rooms are unavailable. Our priority is to bring back the Justice of the Peace service as soon as possible, we appreciate your patience during this time.

We are also unable to run live programming which includes our children's programs. We encourage you to check out our Story Time playlist on YouTube to sing along safely with familiar faces from the library service.
