Drive and drop off your old and unwanted items in good condition at our Reuse & Recycling Event.

This local event is in partnership with the Salvation Army, Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre, Revolve Recycling, the Dandelion Support Network and Whirl Recycling.

Please bring proof of residency. Domestic quantities only. 

Items should be easily be lifted by 2 people.

Remove any protruding nails and screws for the safety of our staff.

All loads will be inspected, and Council has the right to turn away unacceptable items.

Unsure about what type of timber you have? Email Waste Education a clear photo of the cross-section of your item and we can assist with finding out if it is eligible for recycling.

Prepare for the event

Separate your items into the categories above before you arrive

Group your items in different boxes or bags using the categories above. Pack them into your boot or rear of your vehicle so they can be safely removed by staff.

Drop and drive to the event, and stay in your car

When you arrive at the event our collection staff will unpack your vehicle to get you on your way faster.

What to do with items not accepted?

For household items that are not part of the reuse and recycling event, visit our A to Z Guide to Reuse and Recycling or visit our Reuse and Recycling Map, highlighting all the locations in the local area where you can drop off items for free for recycling or repurposing. 

Alternatively, you could give your pre-loved items away to someone who needs it or try advertising online through Facebook Marketplace, Freecycle, Gumtree, Trading Post or eBay.
